1.C.3 Solubility Lab (Alternate, Analysis)

Section A B C D E F G

Due Date: __________

You will be assigned one of the following scenarios of something that could have gone awry during your lab procedure. Think carefully about your assigned scenario and answer the seven questions that follow. Assume that the error described in each case is the only error in the lab procedure. Answer each of the following using the phrases “less than” or “the same as” or “more than” or the symbols “<” and “>” and “=” to answer these.

Scenario A Imagine you didn’t realize that the small test tube or beaker you used in the solubility lab was slightly wet when you first massed it.
Scenario B Imagine you didn’t realize that the small test tube or beaker you used in the solubility lab was still slightly wet when you removed it from the oven.
Scenario C Imagine you didn’t realize that some of the residue chipped off the rim of the small test tube or beaker you used in the solubility lab.
Scenario D Imagine you didn’t realize that some of the solution in the small test tube or beaker you used in the solubility lab spilled while carrying it to the over.
Scenario E Imagine you didn’t realize that some salt flaked off a test tube above yours in the oven and fell into yours.
